It has been a long long time…

since I last wrote anything for this blog.  But for good or bad, I am back now. This last summer was so much fun, we were SO busy and there were so many things I should have written about, but we would get home and then turn around and leave again before I could get anything written.

So I kept thinking, oh I will sit down and catch up one of these days, and then something else would go on, and before I knew it, I was WAY behind in the chronicling of the life of the Lawrence crew.

and I know how you are all just waiting and waiting for my missives!

So, I have resolved to just start writing again, and then maybe, eventually post some “retro” stuff about all that went on over the last few months.  It was so fun, I really want to share it all with you.

But for tonight, I am just going to say “HI!!!!!, it’s good to be back!”

About Sandie

A little background: A mother of 3, two boys and a girl. Married young to a good man. No longer young, but he is still a good man. Grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, lived several years in small town Alaska, spent a couple years in the city of Madison, currently residing not too far from down town Anchorage. Drink a crazy amount of coffee. Fiercely loyal to my friends. Truly rabid in my defense of family. Beyond thankful that my God loves me enough to allow me to doubt and question.

  1. HI! So Kajsa and I went to visit Charlotte in the hospital. Pneumonia. Doing OK. There was a white board with a red marker and an eraser. Kajsa wanted to draw. She drew “Dee-Dee” and then “Apah.” Then she had me draw Apah about twenty-five times! She loved doing the erasing and, more importantly, Charlotte had great fun with it all.

    with infinite hope, Jim

PS-give the little boy a hug and kiss. Oh, hug Kjell, Broder and Sunnie too! And Dave when, if, he’s home!

  2. Hi Sandi — Just returned Tues. from a 12 day trip to ID – Paul & Jolene; CA — Roxie & Randy, Laura & Matt, and new little Clara Irene, Stenberg cousin Linda in Redding; and Phil’s niece Cate and three in Albany, Oregon. Great trip, and Phil started a new dental job in Bellingham on Wed. We’re in the process of adding a condo there to our “investments” so he can stay up there. He’ll be working ten hour days, and I’m excited to go sometimes and have access to a UNIVERSITY library at Western Washington State.

Marin’s a 5th year geology student on track for spring graduation. Winter Q will be another geology camp — 6 wks- in NEW ZEALAND. She’s also applying for grad schools.

Paul & Jolene purchased a country home on one acre and it’s very nice. We’re so pleased for them.

Kari & Matt keep making money, traveled to Italy for their 4th anniversary, and purchased a vacation home hear Shelton on the Olympic Peninsula. We’ll spend Christmas together there.

How’s next summer lining up? I want to come and visit you — even if it’s just me. Not sure yet how vacations will stack up for Phil with a new job. We’re going to Hawaii in late June or early July for a week with Roxie and Randy. We got a great condo cheap at a auction fundraiser at church.

Hope all’s well. Any chance you’re flying to the lower 48 through Seattle this winter? Wehave no big travel plans at this time.
